More Land/Buildings for Sale Along Foster

Have it your way. You’ll be paying a cool million for it, so might as well.

According to a real estate listing from Macadam Forbes, a parcel of land with General Commercial zoning is for sale at 5047 SE Lafayette (there are actually multiple addresses for this property, as three buildings currently occupy the land.)

Take your pick: three buildings totaling more than 6,000 square feet of industrial and commercial space, or 10,000 square feet of developable land. Either way, you’ll be 5047 Streetpaying handsomely but will be able to call Foster (well, Lafayette really) home.

And “have it your way,” Burger King will be next door.

In the latest round of properties coming onto the market along Foster, this particular parcel on SE Lafayette sits right across the street from the former Busy Bee Cleaners. That famed and historic building was razed earlier this year, leaving a large and open lot in its place, seemingly paving the way for future development*. Paired with the newly listed property across the 5047 SE Lafayettestreet, the triangle defined by SE Foster, Powell, and 52nd looks to see some significant changes down the road.

* Just for clarification, the former Busy Bee property and lot neighboring Speedboat Coffee is not currently for sale. But one can only imagine it will be eventually (or developed by its current owner).

We looked into leasing the old Busy Bee Cleaner about a year ago for our restaurant. I just loved the design of that building! The owner of the property said he was waiting to develop the property into condos. It’s such a disappointment.
