The Bobwhite Turned 90, Movies Start This Week

The Bobwhite turned 90. And its namesake big band performed a free concert Sunday for the community. Cake was cut, beer was served, dancers danced, kids frolicked, and the band swung and swang.

Nick Haas, the theatre’s new owner, welcomed everyone and shared his vision for the venue. He also committed to a full renovation of the theater beginning in January, at which point there will be brief hiatus. So until then, get your sneak peek and catch a few movies.

Up first, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Thursday, at 4, 6, 8, and 10 p.m.–$4.00. Remember that the success of this theatre will hinge on the neighborhood’s support. Find a movie that you might enjoy, pay a few bucks, and get a beer and some popcorn. What else would you be doing on a Tuesday or Thursday night?
