Kung Fu Double Feature This Thursday at The Bobwhite

Screen shot 2014-09-16 at 5.20.27 PMThere are two types of people in this world: those who like Kung Fu flicks and those who don’t. And somewhere in the middle (which totally blows my thesis) are those that just like Wu-Tang Clan references to Kung Fu flicks.

No matter, you’ll either dig it or you won’t. But at least give it a shot. The Bobwhite Theatre will be playing parts 1 and 2 of the Shogun Assassin series this Thursday (9/18), starting at 7:00 p.m.

For those familiar with the genre, you know the deal. For those more versed in Wu-Tang lyrics than Kung Fu films, your days listening to the GZA’s Liquid Swords should give you a feel for what to expect. Except decidedly better. And by better we mean a little cheesy, but way more entertaining and action-packed.

Five bucks for the double feature. Popcorn and snacks will be available. All ages.

Do it.

No Kung Fu in these films, just tense (mostly one-on-one) sword standoffs ending with severed head/limbs and gallons of blood spraying all over the place. Great stuff.

I can’t make it tonight, sounds cool… especially the soundtrack.
