Stakeholders Meet Thursday to Discuss Next Steps for Foster

Screen shot 2013-07-21 at 10.14.35 PMThe Foster Streetscape Plan refresh inches on.  Sure, it seems like a snail’s pace.  And you may be discouraged by the options that aren’t being considered.  But, nothing has been decided yet and you’re welcome to witness bureaucracy/planning/obligatory-community-outreach at its finest (or worst, depending on your interpretation) this Thursday, July 25.

Agenda is on the left.

And here’s a link for more info: link

Also, as a side note, there are many neighborhood advocates and representatives on the Stakeholder Advisory Committee that would welcome your ideas and input.  Nick Falbo, at Foster United, has done a good job presenting some of the options being considered for the corridor, as well as his take on what some bold moves may look like.  He also serves on the SAC, so check out his articles and comment as you will.

  1. Nick Falbo says:

Thanks Jeff! This processes does go on and on, but we’re really getting close.

The main topic of the discussion this time will be a debrief from the open house held in June. Over a hundred of our neighbors showed up to comment on the plans, we get to hear what they said.

The advisory committee meeting is open to the public and anyone who is interested is encouraged to come, but keep in mind that public comment is available at the end of the meeting, probably around 7:45 – I’m always interested in discussing this with neighbors over coffee or beer, so if you want to talk:

  2. Thanks, Nick.

You’ve done an admirable job soliciting community feedback. We’ll cross our fingers you get a good option to vote on when that time comes.
