Happy New Year, FoPo!

In my best attempt to resurrect this site and wish you all a fruitful new year, I’ll limit the references to Mayans, Fiscal Cliffs, and streetscape plans — all important stuff, yes, and even relevant to us all on varying levels.  Shaun of the DeadHowever, I’ll instead draw your attention to zombies as we push forward into the new year.

Zombies?  Why, yes…of course.  Hey, if they inspired the cinematic greatness of ‘Shaun of the Dead,’ they can certainly inspire me.  And maybe, just maybe, they’ll be what brings FosterPowellPdx back to life.  In fact, I think that’s exactly what happened.  You see, inspiration comes from unexpected places.  And so it was, a simple walk past Defense Arts NW Foster…and voila, a blog is reborn.

Foster Road ZombiesThere’s more to it than that, but details will just take from the intrigue (oh wait, we never were intriguing…just a little ol’ neighborhood blog).  Suffice it to say, the shirts displayed in the window of the studio elevated my love for the neighborhood…and alerted me to something oddly concerning and hilarious at the same time:  there are zombies on Foster.

If Foster really does have zombies, we want to know about it…and we certainly want to share it with you.  And with that, we look forward to what the new year may bring, even if it does lie somewhere between the living and the dead.

Happy New Year, FoPo!  We’re excited to be back, and hopefully we can all share in an eventful and prosperous 2013.
