Get Schooled in Tree Care

The Mt. Scott Community Center is playing host to a two-day workshop designed to better inform those with a desire to plant and/or maintain trees on their properties or in their business districts.

It’s easy enough to get the tree in the ground, but what do you do with it then?

Whether you’re growing trees for curb appeal, to create a backyard habitat, or just have apple and pear cravings, this workshop will help you understand methods to best care for your wooded friends.  The first workshop, which will include learning how to prune your tree(s), will be this Saturday at 9:30 a.m., with a follow up meeting on Wednesday, 5/9, at 6:30 p.m., to connect you with various resources.  It’ll be a good opportunity for aspiring gardeners, arborists, or those just seeking to increase and improve our local canopy.
