Meet Your Neighbors: Tim Goodyear of The Bad Apple

Tim Goodyear and Emily Nilsson

The Bad Apple

Who are you?
We’re a movie and book store with a gallery, and a lot of mismatched trinkets of interest.

What do you do?
We all do our own art and work with some other artists on comicbooks, zines, and any other variations that fit with our interests

What is your inspiration? (Why do you do what you do?)
Honest art

What brought you and/or your business to the Foster-Powell Community?
Dylan Williams moved the sparkplug comic books office into the location, and there was a store front to fill, so he invited me to help out with that part. I think the location was central for him and the rent was do’able

What is your favorite way to enjoy Foster?
Probably from my dining room window

3 Ways to unite the Fine Folks of Foster
Crosswalks, streetlights, and traffic tickets

How do you envision the future of Foster?
I think it’ll stay much the same; the lighting, parking, and general driving are all very bad, so i don’t think it’ll become the shopping street people often wish it to become. It’s dangerous for anyone not in a car. I’m looking forward to the theatre opening. The food and coffee spots will need to really expand into something special before any real interest is expressed by anyone who isn’t already in the neighborhood.

Some top fives to appease the list lovers……
