Virtual tour of the ‘hood

Local photographer, Michael Medina, has put together a website that allows Portlanders to connect with space beyond the still photo.  The site, Portland Virtual Reality, captures various neighborhoods, FoPo included, in full-screen panoramas that allow the viewer to change their vantage point by 360 degrees, side to side and up and down.

There’s a good collection of virtual tour photos in Foster-Powell, as seen and taken by someone who lives in the neighborhood.  Check them out here.  Notice the views of the Russian Cuisine restaurant…these were taken pre Bar Carlo, and the street is ominously empty with the Bob White Theater marquee hanging empty.  Have fun with these…maybe you’ll see something you recognize.
