Who are you?
Local neighborhood stand-up comic, barista, dog and ex/future on air personality.
What do you do?
Pretty much, I make coffee in the hood to support my comedy! I’m a regular host at Harvey’s Comedy Club, in downtown. Also host for two other weekly shows, a local comedy Open Mic at O’Malley’s on Foster. Then a weekly showcase at the World Famous Cannabis Cafe, for the patients and volunteers there. Besides that I also travel around the Northwest doing shows at local bars, and Theaters. Fun.
What is your inspiration? (Why do you do what you do?)
People! Watching people throughout my life, struggle with issues, whatever they may be. Making them laugh seems like the one short vacation from whatever hell they’re going through. It’s the best feeling ever.
What brought you and/or your business to the Foster-Powell Community?
Well I’ve been doing Foster since I can remember, and then a good friend bought O’Malley’s. That finished it. I started hanging out. Then everyday I would get coffee at the Dutch Bros. and weirdly enough started working at both places. Then moved. Now I’m here.
What is your favorite way to enjoy Foster?
Ah man, the tough questions. For sure, Bar Carlo, Devils Point, and O’Malley’s. There’s always the rec center on 72nd, and the mutt loves the Laurelwood City Park.
3 Ways to unite the Fine Folks of Foster
Food cart party!!! Would love to see the Bob White Theater used as something to get the fine folks together. Heard Slayer played there in the 80’s! Maybe more movies in the park?
How do you envision the future of Foster?
I’m a true believer that Foster has a lot to offer, and could be the next big hood. We are a growing Lil area and it will take time. Hopefully the Theater will be up and running, and I would love someone to buy up the old brick building on 67th. Turn that into something cool, to bring folks in. Ah, the future!
