Somaphile to offer FoPo discount; now for the whole family

After nearly a year of movement therapy and chiropractic goodness at the Somaphile Movement Studio, Danielle Cornelius has renewed her lease and committed herself to two more years of women’s health and healing on Foster Road.  And to show her appreciation for the neighborhood (Mt. Scott, that means you, too), she’s offering a 25%, hometown discount on all bodywork sessions.

What is a body work session?  As told by Dr. Cornelius, it’s “…a blend of relaxed bodywork, gentle + fun exercise and an array of mind-body ninja moves that meet you where you are with plenty of time to talk about what’s on your mind. We work around your unique needs…”  This is done by combining hands-on treatment, active movement therapy, and healthy lifestyle coaching.  One example of this is Shiva Nata, a modern take on Dance of Shiva, which combines movement forms that engage the brain and body in ways that help you focus on the present.  As Danielle puts it, “Shiva Nata is a fun and hilarious mind-body movement practice that is like doing a puzzle with your body. It’s good for your body and your brain.”

In addition to the FoPo discount, Somaphile will also be offering Shiva Nata classes to men and children.  So ladies, feel free to bring your man and/or kid.  Or…your brother.  Or if your a guy, feel free to check it out on your own.  Everyone can benefit.  These classes will run weekly on Saturdays at 10am.  For more info  and to enquire about other services Somaphile offers, contact Danielle at
