Who are you?
I am a relatively new resident of the Foster-Powell neighborhood, I am a papa of a crazy little girl, and on my spare time when I am not working or in school I love gardening
What do you do?
I have started up my own landscaping business since my daughter was born a year and half ago and now I am in school to get a masters certificate in sustainability. But I am around the hood a lot with my daughter
What is your inspiration? (Why do you do what you do?)
my inspiration is to grow an abundant amount of food for myself and for others because I believe we need to know where our food comes from
What brought you and/or your business to the Foster-Powell Community?
My friend Karim who was also a real state agent thought this would the ideal place for us. However, we were skeptical but since we moved in we continue to be pleasantly surprised how great the community is.
What is your favorite way to enjoy Foster?
being out in my yard and hanging out with all my neighbors who make this an awesome place to live
3 Ways to unite the Fine Folks of Foster
One way that I have been a part of uniting the folks of foster has been the FoPo parents group, this has been a wonderful organic experience of connecting with new families in the hood. Secondly, I suggest neighborhood kickball games at Kern park.
How do you envision the future of Foster?
I imagine one day that there will be a thriving community garden and a kickass coffee shop and just maybe the ability to walk to a grocery store. But more importantly I see this neighborhood getting cooler and cooler.
