Who are you? (We really wanna know)

I am a mom, writer, business owner, introvert…

What do you do?
I write, I collaborate, I promote genuine and amazingly talented people and tell their stories. I work with a team of folks dedicated to community and the underdog. I do a lot of finding and connecting.

What is your inspiration? (Why do you create?)
Genuine ideas and the folks behind them make my world spin. I am fortunate to share black coffee mornings and red wine nights with some astoundingly creative individuals I get to call colleagues and friends.

Inspiration is all around us all of the time, there is no pin point here.

How do you do what you do when you do what you do?
I dig through scraps of paper, ideas, and images, and find the words to match. I have long conversations with old men and strangers. I listen.

What brought you and/or your business to the Foster-Powell Community?
I grew up in Saint Johns and when it came time to make a place called home in the SE of Portland, I quickly claimed Foster-Powell, as it most resembles my childhood. A creature of habit, I am.

3 Ways to unite the Fine Folks of Foster
1. Meet your neighbors! Submit your tale to fosterpowellpdx@gmail.com Celebrate one another.

2. Walk and talk. Try an hour at the food carts, you’d be surprised. Our neighborhood is so friendly.

3. Attend the free events. Create your own. Invite folks into your yard, your coffee shop, your life.

What is your favorite way to enjoy Foster?
With coffee in one hand and a book in the other…

How do you envision the future of Foster?
I think of Foster Powell as a good-hearted, hard working bloke with a world of opportunities at his feet. Stubborn, strong-willed, and determined to do the right thing. Growth is inevitable but a sustainable future starts with the community. He gets it.
