What: Amrit Yoga is a deeply meditative yoga practice, that utilizes traditional Hatha Yoga postures and is based directly on the teachings of Swami Kripalvandandji. The Amrit Yoga Sequence was personally designed by Yogi Amrit Desai to help you make the journey from outside your body to inside your spirit.

Amrit Yoga is not just about performing postures, but about the consciousness with which you perform them. The most overt different in Amrit Yoga is that each posture has two parts: the active and the passive. In the active part, you are performing the posture. In the passive part, you appear to be "resting".

We offer two classes. The full asana sequence developed by Yogi Desai is 26 postures along with some meditation and breathwork. The modified sequence is a shortened class for those with less time or those who may feel unsure of taking the full 26 posture class.
