Times are tough. The Hollywood video on 82nd couldn’t make it. Some construction projects seem to have stalled, perhaps due to dwindling funds. Even when the new house is done, who knows how long it’ll sit on the market. Nineteen months is the current glut of Portland housing, I’ve heard. So, in the interest of the community’s financial situation, I contribute a FREE form of entertainment: the Online Neighborhood Game of Name That Mystery Spot.
If you win, I’ll interview you on the site. It’ll be a neighbor profile. You’ll get to choose the photos. I’ll get to pick the questions. It’ll be fun. Of course, if you’d rather not get that kind of notoriety, come up with an interesting alternative prize, and I’ll probably be game.
So, how do you win? Simply leave a comment on this story naming the mystery spot pictured in the photos above. The first correct answer wins. Best of luck.
PS I have a couple of clues if this initial round proves too hard. So I guess the real question is… will the peeps of Fo Po bring it? Do you know where this dark hidey hole is? It’s somewhere in Foster-Powell.
PPS Dude Who Showed Me the Hidey Hole: You can’t say. Obviously. Not that I thought you would, but… just in case.

Is it in the Bear Ecycling place at 63rd and Foster?
But alas, no. Try again– there’s a NEW CLUE on the main page now.
See, I played fair and held my tongue. The hidey-hole that is in the window to nothing dosen’t smell like pee anymore. I don’t know why, it is a mysterious thing.
That is so strange… maybe now that it’s been exposed to its fifteen minutes of online fame, it’s no longer putting up a stink?
It’s obviously not the infamous Woodstock Mystery Hole… http://www.barronmind.com/wmh.htm…so that narrows it down by one possibility.
Is it behind the SE Local 58 Union hall? I thought that I saw something similiar while walking to bingo at Bob & Alice’s.
